Check the Library’s subject guide on Business Case Studies. This contains a range of sources which have case studies. When searching the main business databases, there are three options:
Search in the 3 databases ABI Global, Business Source Premier and Emerald, which are included on the Library’s A-Z List of Databases through the Portal.
In Business Source Premier and ABI Inform, scroll down the search screen and see the option to limit a search by Document Type. In ABI Inform there are options for limiting to only ‘Business Case’ and to only ‘Case Studies’. In Business Source Premier select the option for ‘Case Study’. In both databases, type relevant key words into the search box at the top of the screen to find out what might be available.
In Emerald, select the ‘Advanced Search’ link. Below the search boxes, there is an option under ‘Content type’ to select ‘Case studies’.
Also, there is an Open Access journal, Journal of Business Case Studies, which may contain relevant studies. It’s primary purpose is to provide case studies for teaching. It is searchable via the ABI Global database but is also freely available from the journal’s website.
Another place to check is in key textbooks. Look at the textbooks for your modules, and/or browse through books in the relevant subject areas on the Library shelves to see if they have a suitable business case study.
