Under the terms of the Copyright Licencing Agency (CLA) Photocopying and Scanning Higher Education Licence, the University has permission to make digital copies of limited extracts from printed books, journals and magazines that may be stored for delivery to a specific cohort of students enrolled in a course of study. The Library manages the University’s centralised scanning service to undertake the scanning and to make the material available through a link on the relevant module reading list held on Blackboard. Academic staff may submit requests to their subject librarian using a printed form or the online equivalent. There are limits to what may be scanned and full details on these and our procedures are available from the Library Scanning Service page
